COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP

 As part of B.Ed curriculum we had a community living camp in our third semester from March 7 2022 March 11 2022. It was a 5 day camp. In normal case the camp is residential, since we are facing covid pandemic it  was not residential.

The title of the camp was 'ഒപ്പരം, സുദിനങ്ങളുടെ ഓർമ്മയ്ക്കായി'. The five day camp was organised with many cultural programs, classes, etc. The Canvas inaugurated by lightning candles by principal,students, teachers, staffs and guests.

The main objective of the community living camp is cooperation coordination adjustment socializing etc. The programs are planned earlier. The camp was conducted by following covid 19 protocols

DAY 1

The Friday community living camp conducted by Kerala University College of teacher education Arya was officially inaugurated on March 7 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The inauguration session Chartered with a prayer song by college choir. The welcome speech was delivered by College Principal Dr Prashant R. He was a General convener of the camp. The presidential address was given by 2020- 22  College Union chairman Arun Kumar. The camp was officially inaugurated by Alappuzha Municipal chairperson Smt Sowmya Raj. The Lightning of lamp was different from the usual ceremony. We all lit a candle. This program was followed by felicitation from Vinita R, Sreelekha , shyja, Deepa Thankappan, Harikrishnan A and Fathima shiril PT. The inaugural session was wind up by delivering vote of thanks by student coordinator Gautam C P.

By 1:00 p.m. we had our lunch and went for practicing and dressing for the cultural programs which was at 2:00 p.m. There was programs from all departments and the first day camp was finished by 4:10 p.m. and by 4:30 p.m. we all went back home

DAY 2 (08-03-2022)

The second day of the camp was started by ice breaking games conducted by assistant professor in physical education Prashant A. P. All students participated in the games. By 10:00 a.m. we had aerobics classes. It lasted for one hour. Small break was given at 11:00 a.m. and after that yoga was practiced under the guidance of Prasanth sir.

At 1:00 p.m. we had our lunch and afternoon session was handled by Fire and Rescue Team Alappuzha. The welcome speech was delivered by student from department of natural science Deepa. The first part of the class was given byH. Satheeshan, assistant station officer. He took the class by sharing is life story as a fire force officer. The class was really interesting. He explained to us about different types of fire and how they are ghost and how we can prevent them if it affect our life. The second session was given by Shiju sir he explained about the dangers that exist inside our home and how it can prevent them and also explain about how to use two types of extinguishers one was carbon dioxide extinguisher and other one was dry powder fire extinguisher and last session was handle by Akhilesh sir and he explained about the first aid that we need to give if we see a person who blocked his food on epiglottis another first aid explain was CPR which is cardio pulmonary resuscitation and how a normal person like us can give it to someone who need it. Then they explain about water escape and how to shift a person with broken legs or fractures. The vote of thanks was given by Aswathy from department of mathematics

DAY 3(09-03-2022)

The third day of Campus a one day trip named 'കൂട്ടിൽ നിന്നും മേട്ടിലേക്ക്'. The trip was to Paniyeli poru and Lulu Mall Ernakulam.

DAY 4(10-03-2022)

The fourth day of the camp was started by 10:30 a.m. today we wear having a class also 'Social Policing' by Vinod Kumar PN , senior civil police officer Thrissur. Kis class was explain the through his life story as a Police Officer and this can relate the topic of social policing well. He said about police helping children to get education who live in a hilly high range area where their basic needs are not even met and this way he explain many stories. He also explain to us about different schemes of government for women and children safety. In between the class he made us to sing songs and taught types of claps. By 1:00 p.m. we had our lunch

After lunch be had drama classes by assistant professor in visual and performing art Madhu sir. He made as to play different types of games and class was really interesting.

DAY 5

Last day of the camp was the concluding ceremony and the welcome speech was given by College Principal Dr Prashant sir and felicitation by college Union chairman Arun Kumar and the concluding ceremony was inaugurated by P. S. M. Hussain sir, Municipal vice chairman Alappuzha.
